Rich Hamlin Sr.

Deacon

My wife Joann and I attend Evangelical Reformed Church because our core beliefs are aligned with doctrine taught and preached at ERC. My son, Rich is the pastor.

I became a deacon in 2002. I believe in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and the only way for my salvation. I believe in the Triune God— God the Father, Jesus Christ his Son and the Holy Spirit. I have served on church councils, taught Sunday school and Bible studies in each community we lived over the past 50 years all which has prepared me to serve as a deacon.

My vision and hope for Evangelical Reformed Church is that the church will be a light to the community, a place where people can come to hear God’s Word preached and where the lost can hear the salvation message.

The joy I have as a deacon is being a servant, loving the membership, working with the other Council members and doing whatever I can to accomplish the mission God has called me to.

Some of my favorite things to do are: family gatherings, watching my grandchildren grow and supporting them in their activities, fellowshipping with my brothers and sisters at Evangelical Reformed Church, Bible Education Nights, church programs and congregational picnics. Joann and I have four boys, Rich, Randy, Rod & Ryan.

I can be contacted by phone listed in the church directory. Copies of the directory are available in the church office.
