7 Wonders Creation Museum

On September 18, many from the church enjoyed a trip to the Mount St. Helens 7 Wonders Creation Museum. We were treated to a 45 minute presentation on the events of May 18, 1980, when beautiful Mount St. Helens erupted. This event has provided wonderful support for creation science and the biblical record of the genesis of the earth. Lloyd and Doris Anderson are the museum owners and presenters, and you couldn’t find a more gracious couple to host a wonderful time of learning and understanding of how God created the world. After the museum, we enjoyed lunch together and a great hike at the Hummocks trail – a 2.5 mile jaunt through the otherworldly hills created by the events following the eruption.

As Lloyd would say, on May 18, 1980, God showed how he could change the earth in a matter of minutes through a catastrophic event. The eruption and the subsequent events created canyons, put down river beds, and created layered geologic features in a matter of days. We don’t have to be concerned that geology and science has somehow disproven creation. God has sent us a wonderful sign about his abilities.

I invite you to take a look at the 7 Wonders website at 7wonders.nwcreation.net. There you can sign up to receive the NW Creation News newsletter via e-mail for free, and peruse the many books and resources that the 7 Wonders Museum has made available.
